Contrary to popular belief the greatest contributor to poverty is not lack of education but the breakdown of the family. Data suggest that the quickest way to prosperity is for a man and a woman to get married. The married man tends to make more money over the course of their life than the single man.

Dr. Goldie Wells

Dr. Goldie Frinks Wells is a retired educator who has served as President of Saints Academy and College, in Lexington, Mississippi, as Title I Director for the Iredell-Statesville Schools, and taught in NC in the Raleigh-Wake and Guilford County School Systems. She has both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Hampton University and North Carolina A & T State University. She has also earned a doctorate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Wells is a member of the Board of Trustees of Wells Memorial Church of God in Christ. She serves as a District Missionary, and is the National Director of the C.H. Mason Jurisdictional Institutes of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. She was elected Greensboro City Councilwoman District 2 in 2005 and is currently serving as Councilwoman for the District for another term.
Dr. Wells publications include Golden Asro Frinks: Telling the Unsung Song, A Biography of a Civil Rights Activist; and she co-authored “Women in Ministry in the Church of God in Christ”.
